RIO  LAGARTOS AND LAS COLORADAS

RIO LAGARTOS is a port in which flora and fauna abound and is very privileged for its virgin beaches where the main attraction is the walk along the estuary, we combine these landscapes with an exceptional visit to las coloradas, a place with pink waters ,  takes this color due to its high concentration of microorganisms and salinity. During the road trip to get there you will find cities founded by Spaniards, former convents in ruins and large haciendas.

We leave Cancun at 7:30 am. (The journey to Rio Lagartos is approximately 2.5 hours). 

Road to las coloradas: We will take a boat, arriving at the town of Rio lagartos, we will go through the mangrove swamp, and the RIA, the guide will explain the biodiversity that inhabits this incredible place, during the journey we will be able to see crocodiles, hawks hunting fish and a incomparable vegetation.

We will arrive at the Natural Park of Rio Lagartos: The park is a place of great ecological and biological importance since it is one of the main nesting places for flamingos together with the town of Celestún, the park has a system of lagoons made up of three bodies of water where you can live the thick vegetation and varied fauna that inhabits it.

We are in Coloradas: Being in coloradas you will see beautiful flamingos in their natural habitat, visualize the pink lake, which at sunset offers a natural spectacle without equal. You can receive a mud bath with exfoliating properties, this mud contains many minerals.

If we visit Las Coloradas beach, you should be very aware of the nests of sea turtles.
